At the discovery of landscape and culture
There are many ways to get to know Tirolo, Merano and its surrounding: on four wheels, on two wheels, on foot. Or even suspended in the air on the cable car. Discover the best way for you, or just try them all! Don’t forget: in Tirolo you will find two cableways just 10-15 minute walk from the hotel: the panoramic chairlift that takes you down to Merano, and the Hochmuth cable car that goes up to the top of the mountain with the same name (Muta Mount) and the Merano High Way.
On foot: walking is fun!
Walking, exploring, finding oneself, climbing mountain tops - a holiday in Tirolo is a source of endless possibilities: here in the Gruppo di Tessa Natural Park, between 300 and 3000 metres above sea level, there is something for everyone. Follow the Rogge water irrigation canals paths through vineyards and fruit orchards, or discover the Tappeiner or the Panoramic paths. Go up high on the mountain to sample freedom, at the top of the Muta Mount, around the splendid Sopranes lakes, or in the skiing and hiking area of Merano 2000. In Tirolo and surroundings variety is guaranteed!
On two wheels: cycling excursions
The wide network of cycling paths helps you to discover the Tirolo area on a mountain bike, going through meadows and forests. Along the way you will find historic monuments, sunny grazing fields, apple orchards in full bloom, huts with breath-taking views: the landscape and culture of the Merano region are rich and varied. Cycle through the Claudia Augusta Way, enter the Sopranes Valley or the Adige Valley, or visit the Muthöfe farmsteads, up above Merano.
