History of the "Patriarch" farm in Tirolo

The "Patriarch" farm was one of the oldest farms in Tirolo and was constructed during the 16th century. The original name of the Patriarch farm was "Unter Wenzel". The first known owner was Johann Kofler, who passed the farm on to Anna Kofler Unterthurner. Mrs. Kofler had no kids and gave the Patriarch farm to the children of Maria and Josef Kofler. The farm was reconstructed in 1925, when a bakery and a distillery were added. In 1969 the stables were converted into a pension. Today's senior host Marianna Kofler finally inherited the pension and, together with her husband Albuin Burger, she tried to upgrade the pension with stylish furnishing, appealing details and high-quality facilities. It was her who gave Hotel Patriarch this special flair and the hearty atmosphere. Now, Hotel Patriarch is a 3-star hotel and one of the most renowned hotels in Tirolo.

In 2003, her son Florian Burger took over the hotel. Now he welcomes you to Hotel Patriarch together with his wife Patrizia and their twins Simon and Andreas.
